Ever since I was a young girl, I have known that I wanted to go to college and go into the medical field helping other children just like me. The dream of helping children get healthy or have the best chance they can in life has pushed me to do the best I can in school and my personal life. I was 5 months old when I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia with a minimal chance of surviving treatment. My parents describe me as a strong determined and independent child and now as a young adult. They push me to be a survivor and encourage other children. Now even with all of the challenges caused by the chemotherapy treatments, I push to be the best that I can be. My mother is a cheerleading coach and has always loved teaching me to cheer and be a voice of encouragement for my fellow athletes. I started cheering at the age of 8 and have not stopped since. I love the sport of cheerleading and the teamwork it takes to make a squad great. I have cheered competitively, in elementary cheerleading, junior high cheerleading, Varsity Football, and Wrestling cheerleading. I have attended multiple NCA cheerleading camps and Stunt clinics. I am also very active in my community and school. I am very excited to see where the sport of cheerleading is going and to be a part of the future of cheerleading is a goal and dream of mine.
