Dejah Walters '24 Recruiting Profile

Good day, my name is Dejah Walters.  I have been a sideline cheerleader since I was 5 years old, made the middle school team both 7th and 8th grade years, and made the high school team all four years of high school.  I made Varsity Comp all four years of high school as well and was one of three to do so. In my life I have been in every position of a stunt group and although I am 5'10" now I have personal experience as a flier which I attribute to what makes me great as a main base, backspot, and side base.  I have competed in both gameday and routine and am in a large mixed varsity squad with my high school.  I am relied on to teach the underclassmen on a regular basis, and always push myself to learn new stunts.  I am able to single base into an extension and have been since my Sophmore year.  I am extremely competitive and am always willing to learn new things.  I may not be where I would like to be with tumbling, however these skills have not been taught at my school but I know with the right coaching I can do it.
