Cheer is a huge part of my life. But I didn’t start with cheer. I did gymnastics for 10 years. Throughout the years, it has given me many outstanding qualities that would make me a strong asset for your team. It has made me become very self-disciplined to condition and train harder on my own. It has given me a passion to improve as an athlete and find ways I could contribute to my team’s success. I feel I would bring good character, tough mental and moral qualities to your team. I have a good natured personality, and get along very well with coaches and teammates. I have a positive attitude and I can follow and take direction. Doing gymnastics since I could walk, it has grown to be a major part of who I am. This sport has taught me the value of teamwork. The team has to work together in order to be successful. This is an important life skill. Gymnastics has also taught me how to mentally move on. Every turn I take is a new opportunity. I have learned to reset and concentrate on the next opportunity. Practice presents new challenges. I have learned to not show my emotions when I am having an off day, but to encourage myself and others that I will continue to make corrections. This was a harder lesson to learn but one I am continually working on. Eventually I moved on and started cheer. This sport has taught me that as a team we can do anything. I fell in love with cheer after my first year. But my dream was to make the Bingham cheer team. I made JV with little knowledge and learning how to tumble on dead mat. I met so many new girls that taught me how to be a better cheer leader. This allows me to continue to work on my skills. I am looking forward to finding a school that will allow me to have a well-rounded college experience consisting of a great education and to follow my new dream to compete as a cheerleader at the college level. And pursuit my goal of criminology.
