I have loved cheerleading all my life. High school was the first time I was able to finally live out my dream of being a cheerleader. It is so much fun and definitely my dream sport. I have learned a lot of lessons through cheer, and i’m so grateful I have gotten to participate in this sport during my formative years, and I would love if I could continue this amazing sport through my college years. Some important lessons I have learned while cheering include perseverance when I can’t hit a stunt, leadership when I help others on my team when they need it, and having grit. Grit is very important in cheer because you may not always receive the outcome or feedback you wanted, but you just have to power through and remeber that every day you get to show up to a practice or a game is a blessing.
