Personal Statement
As a first-generation Latina, I have always been determined to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. My strength and strong work ethic have allowed me to thrive in both academics and athletics. As a tumbler base and team player, I have learned the importance of collaboration and supporting others.
However, my journey has not been without challenges. Growing up in poverty, I have had to work tirelessly to secure the necessary funds and sponsors to continue playing the sport I love. These experiences have taught me resilience, perseverance, and the value of hard work.
With my sights set on pursuing a career in medicine, I am excited to bring my passion for helping others into the field. Through my personal and athletic experiences, I have honed my skills in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving - all of which are crucial in the medical profession.
