Moving up to Varsity as a sophomore was one of the best things that has happened to me as for field hockey. However, half way through my season as a sophomore I was unfortunate to get a broken collarbone, I was out for 6 weeks but before our season ended I was able to compete in our end of the year tournament. Not only did that experience teach me that even though I wasn't able to play for my team I still went to the games and cheered them on. This had taught me that a true leader doesn't just play for their team they come and support each member whether they are hurt or not. When I came back my goal and focus was on playing and giving it my all for my team. This had made me re-focus all my efforts to become the best high school athlete I can be along with having a goal to be an athlete in college. Not only am I grateful that I play field hockey but that I am apart of an amazing program that supports one another whether we win or lose as a team. I believe that not only do I have what it takes to be able to compete at the college level, but also character, leadership and the work that I am willing to put in to become a better player. As a three-sport athlete I believe that I have what it takes to become a college level athlete.
