My name is Mia Katsuyoshi. I am a junior at Christopher High School in Gilroy, California. I have grown a passion for the sport of field hockey over the years. I have been playing field hockey for the last 5 years. Starting as a 7th grader I had no idea what the sport was or how much I would grow to love it. The school I was attending in 9th grade did not have field hockey, so I decided to transfer to my local public high school, Christopher High School in my sophomore year. My head coach for both club and high school is Dani Hemeon who played for the University of Iowa and has a strong passion for the sport which is implemented in her coaching. I have continually pushed myself academically by taking AP and honors classes throughout high school. Playing in college is what I am working hard towards. I look forward to my experience as a college athlete!
