Lauren Halenkamp '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Lauren Halenkamp, I am from Monument, Colorado. One of my biggest aspirations ever since I was little was to play sports in College.  I have always been extremely dedicated to sports and physical fitness and as a Navy kid, I have shown this in my years of playing a variety of sports in numerous locations both at home and abroad.  I have built very strong bonds with my teammates with most of them being friends still today. I always show passion and perseverance when it comes to all aspects of my life, including sports, academics and my total moral. I challenge myself in every way, by staying fit, by working out everyday, keeping my academics strong by studying hard, and never having a late or missed assignment. After college, I would like to work as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer because of my fascination in technology and mechanics.

I discovered my sports passion and something i'm amazing at doing, being a field hockey goalie. Before my sophomore season of field hockey, I had not played much at goalie. However, after I transitioned from being a field player, I really worked hard and with self-discipline to become a great goalie.  As captain of my current team, I have an incredible amount of integrity, loyalty and respectfulness and I believe I would be a valuable addition to your team.  Thanks for your consideration!
