As a child, I played a variety of sports. Basketball, softball, soccer, you name it. But once I began to play field hockey in the sixth grade, I knew immediately that this was the sport for me. During field hockey season, I excel in my studies. My mood is better, my health is better, my everything is better. I truly have a passion for the game and I put 100% effort in every time I play. I am a very dedicated athlete and I exercise during the offseason with practicing my skills and running daily. I also recently joined HTC Field Hockey Club to further enhance my skills and grow my game. I feel as though I am a very coachable player and I receive feedback well, and I am fast to the ball. I never give up a play until it is successfully passed to a teammate. One of my favorite quotes from my coach is "you don't get what you wish for, you get what you work for", and field hockey has taught me to live by that. My work ethic both in the classroom and on the field demonstrates how determined I am. Nothing would make me happier than playing field hockey at the collegiate level in the future, and I hope I get that opportunity someday.
