Personal Statement

Our team is playing in the first round of the Class S State Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 5th @ 2 at St Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Bloomfield, CT.

My goal as an athlete is to play field hockey at a college that is also strong academically, especially in my intended major. I have just recently, during my freshman year of high school, started to play field hockey. The sport and the required skills will stay with me forever. Years in team sports have taught me sportsmanship, teamwork and respect of coaches, officials and other players. Outside of sports, I excel in mathematics. In college, I intend to study business and accounting. My goal is to be respected in the business aspect of our world and make a difference.

I was proud to be named head captain of my varsity team this year.

I have attended many camps and clinics over the last 3 years, and have played for HTC Field Hockey Club in Stamford  as well as attending summer camps and showcases, particularly at West Chester University last spring.  My current position is right forward I am  working hard with my coach, Darrin Smallhorn through the winter to continue to improves both offensive and defensive skills.  I have been playing, practicing and attending clinics 3-4 times per week for the past year, taking every opportunity available to improve my game.  I look forward to the upcoming club season.

I have attended the following showcases and clinics as well as those listed in my profile.

College Connection at West Chester University:  May 24 through 27th 2013:  Team Argentina, Jersey # 180

Super Sixty Clinic:  July 4th through 7th, 2013at West Chester University

Nutmeg Games:  July 20th, 2013

Deerfield Academy:  White Mountain Sports Team Camp:  July 21st-24th, 2013
