Mira Alcorn '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mira Alcorn and I am a class of 2025 center midfielder and center back from Glen Ellyn, IL where I am a third year varsity starter  at center midfield for my high school team and also play defensive back for the Rise Field Hockey Club.  This past high school season, I started every game at center attacking midfield, and was the second leading scorer. I was named All State Second Team, as well as All Conference.  At Rise, I am coached by Stephanie Bernthal, former Ball State D1 head coach.  Coach Bernthal has praised my ability to attack the ball from a defensive position.  I am on the offensive and defensive corner teams for both Rise and my high school team.  A smart and strong player, I read the field well and play hard through every minute of the game, and use my experience as a club and high school basketball player to bring physicality and aggressiveness to my field hockey game.    I am a hard worker both on and off the field - managing a challenging load of honors courses with 4.26/4 GPA.  What I enjoy about field hockey is the team energy and the feeling of knowing you’ve given everything you have to the game.
