Personal Statement
Sports wise, I want to become an FIH League player whether it is for my national team or another, hockey is a sport that I love and feel confident in which is why I want it to be my future. When growing up, my dream was to be an Olympic gold medalist. I used to play tennis and hold a couple national titles but when I started to play hockey, I felt like I was home and I knew that I could do something with this sport. I believe I am a good candidate because I know how to work hard and to keep going no matter what challenge is thrown towards me. I think what makes me different from other recruits is that I am not afraid to put my body on the line but when I have the ball, I am determined to make something happen whether it is a PC or a goal. I lived in Japan for 6 years due to my dads work, this means that I have become fluent in Japanese which is so cool but also I know what it is like to be put into stressful and unfamiliar situations but I also know how to overcome them. I would absolutely love to be apart of a team in the US because lots of people say its their dream but ever since I was little when someone asked what I wanted to do when i'm older, I always said go to America.
