Personal Statement
My name Louise Fobe, 17 and player of the dames 1 squad from Herakles - playing in the highest division in Belgium.
I’m finishing my 12th grade high school in June this year. I’m looking to come in fall 2020, stay 4 years and experience playing hockey for one of the better field hockey teams in the US combined with studying at a top university.
§ Here’s a quick overview of my profile as a hockey player and student :
> member of u18 Belgium national team until last year
> With the Herakles U16 team I won the Belgium outdoor championship in season 17/18. We also won the indoor competition in season 16/17. Currently we are in the lead of the competition with the U19 outdoor and indoor :)
> central/side defender (sometimes moving up to the midfield) with a great technique & vision/understanding of the game, flick & backhand shot…
> I take my studies seriously. I’m in 12th grade at Onze-Lieve_Vrouwecollege in Mortsel (one of the toughest high schools in Antwerp - known for its high level of math) - following amongst other courses 8 hours of maths each week
> have been named “best of class” several times
§ I have taken the TOEFL and SAT:
99 on the TOEFL with sub scores of 24 reading - 25 listening - 29 speaking - 21 writing.
Please note that I’m happy to retake the tests if needed.
I really want to experience playing great hockey in the US while getting a top education.
