Delfina Magro '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches, my name is Delfina Magro, from Buenos Aires Argentina. I will be graduating from high school in December 2021, and I would like to go to college in fall 2022. Since 2012 I play hockey and since ever, my dream has been going to the USA to compete while studying.

The first thing that comes to the reader attention is the fact that I am from Argentina. To be honest, no matter how hard I search, I definitely can’t find a way to succeed and pursue my dreams in this country.

Not long ago, I was introduced in the world of an American student-athlete and its prospects for the future. I did my own research, and I came to the conclusion that I could build myself a future through this system.

 I consider myself a competitive athlete, who always wants to win, despite circumstances, and I would strive to achieve common goals like championships. Also, For my college experience, I want to be part of a team in which I can feel like I'm home, because I will be far away from my friends and family and definitely I believe that a team is not only on the pitch, also it should be a team off the pitch. There is nothing better than being part of a team that respects and cares for each other on and off the field. I have an outgoing personality and I like meeting new people that can make me a better person. 

In regards to training, I like to give my 110% in every single training and match I play. My positive attitude and communication on the field are assets that I pride myself on. For me, USA colleges are the ones in which I can competitively combine academics and athletics and that is why I would like to play field hockey there. 

To conclude, I can play in a position where the team needs me, but I like playing as a forward or defender. My current GPA is 3.5 and I've finished my junior year on November 27th.
