Personal Statement
I am Josh Koff, a South African International student. It was always my ultimate goal in life to play Division 1 hockey in America. I am a serious hockey player who puts in the work. The most important aspect in this sport is my team. I play for them and I play with them. I always offer a helping hand to my fellow teammates and people in need of assistance.
For me, there must always be a balance between Academics and Sport. I work as much on Academics than on Sport, and have proved this by maintaining an 80% aggregate in my final year marks of 2020 and by making a Western Provincial A side 2 years in a row. Leadership for me is fundamental, I set the example on and off the field and play an important leadership role in my school. I connect well with people and I feel this is what makes me stand out from any other international student.
