Personal Statement
I've been playing field hockey since I was 6 years old. I first started playing field hockey as it fit well with my ski season, but ever since then my love for this sport has been unbreakable. My dream has always been to play at a collegiate level.
I am a strong defender as well as a fast midfielder. My versatility on the field allows me to excel in various positions. My ball handling skills and confident possession are recognized asset to my teams. I can be relied on for my accurate passes and overall game sense. I am also a team leader, encouraging my teammates and leading by example. I strive to be one of the hardest working players on the field.
I practice year-round and participate in Division 1 Women's league, Field Hockey Canada national level training, varsity (Jr and Sr.) season and strength and conditioning sessions.
In the classroom I study hard and maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am one of 30 selected participants in the Socials Explorers Outdoor program at my school and I've received numerous awards for my work ethic and grade point averages.
I want to go to a school where I can push myself full on the field and be apart of a positive and strong team. I ultimately want to find a great fit at the highest competitive field hockey level possible, while also achieving academically. If you are a coach or recruiter looking for a talented and hard-working player, I look forward to connecting with you.
