Personal Statement
My desire is to be in the medical field, specifically Dentistry. I also got a strong passion for sport from a tender age. Track & field, basketball, netball and field hockey. Field hockey lies in my heart and I have the desire to display and improve my skills in any college that matches my lifetime goals and achievements on the field. I've played A team level sport from elementary school and captained three years from U16 level to high school 1st team level. I've worked with teammates and as leader and I have mastered encouraging other teammates that may seem discouraged or hopeless during a tough game. Moreover, I've learnt the importance of working with other people for example, distribution of the ball on the field and as a defender (sweeper) I watch the whole game from the back and have managed to shed light on areas that could be used for my teams advantage which have often helped close gaps during a game. I'm not only hardworking on the field but also in class. I'm currently studying biology for preMed and I'm a freshman at Rosemont College PA. I currently have a GPA 3.4 as well. I have a passion for sciences, specifically physics and biology and culturally I am a orator. Lastly, in my senior year in high school, I was privileged to be headgirl which is being the school president. Being a captain of a top 3 ranked hockey playing high school in Zimbabwe , 1st team captain of a national team and headgirl of a top 10 ranked high school in Zimbabwe has taught me discipline, patience, teamwork, creativity and maturity. People will be looking up to me so I had to adjust and take the challenge with determination and a strong heart. In the end, such an experience has built a strong character in me and a lady of great dreams and passion for sport, academics and positive interaction with others. I'm earnestly looking forward to joining a college team and most importantly, I want to improve the skills I have on the field and also contribute to the positive reputation of the college on and off the field.
