My name is Chinyere Mgbemena I am 17 years old girl born and bred in Harare, Zimbabwe. I am the oldest of three and live with my mother, my dad having passed away a few years ago in his country of birth, Nigeria. I am currently enrolled at Eaglesvale senior school undertaking Business studies, geography and biology at an advanced level and an additional AS English which I wrote in November 2020 in order to boost my academic standing. I graduate with my GCSE certificate at the end of 2021. In terms of personality and character, I categorise myself as hardworking, determined, motivated etc individual. My level of determination and self-motivation can be easily observed in both my academic, sporting and extracurricular activities. For instance during speech night in 2019, I received the IGCSE Information Communication Technology Award where I was recognized as the best Information Communication and Technology student for 2019 in my stream. In tenth grade I came second out of all grade students in the second term of school and this motivated me to work even harder thereby coming first in the last term. However, to be frank the best of who I am is best showcased when it comes to sports and other extracurricular activities. I believe myself to be a true leader being the head of my school’s first aid club as well as being nominated to be a class and school prefect several times. I have a passion for sports and have participated in a variety including but not limited to basketball, swimming, athletics, hockey, tennis and cross-country. Ever since I was in junior school I have always had a passion for sports. I have always looked at sports as a whole new world for +me to express my true self and my God given talents. The field, the pool and the court are my second homes and that’s where I always strive to show my full potential as an athlete.
