Personal Statement
I have been a field hockey goalkeeper since age 10 with selection for all the top teams in each age group. I have men’s provincial experiences and am currently set to play in my countries U21 World Cup qualifier squad. I have one of the best track records with both my save percentage and cleansheets. In the year 2019 I
I feel that what separates me from most keepers is both my agility and athleticism. I compete competitively in both long and high jump including the addition of track events. I’ve played on all surfaces including Astra Turf, Grass and questionable surfaces which make my ability to anticipate presumably more polished than most. I have hefty experience and game time with older players and teams which makes me fully capable of adapting to College Hockey. All in all I have tried to emulate the game and play style of David Carter with much work done on my agility and composure on the ball for I feel that a field hockey keeper is more than a shot stopper but a player to add to the open play on the field.
