Field hockey is one of the many sports I have played from the young age of 6. Over the past few years it has become a significant part of my life and something I always endeavour to achieve very highly in. After been selected for an Under 13 regional representative team at the age of 9, I began to dream of playing hockey for New Zealand.
Have the opportunity to be a student athlete at a college level is something that would set me up for the goals I am yet to achieve.
After developing an understanding for the majority of all the positions in the game of the last 5 -8 years, I have settled in the front line as a striker as speed is a strength of mine. Through all experience I have gain a wealth of understand of the game. My leadership has progress also to be able to lead 8 hockey teams as either captain or vice. I believe I am a coachable athlete who is always open to constructive criticism and is willing to work hard with a positive attitude.
Off the sporting fields I am a industrial, well balanced student. I maintain high grades of excellence in my academic studies. Outside off school I am apart of the local surf lifesaving club, not only is it my summer sport were I compete to a national level, it is a chance to give back to the community. I am always continuing to challenge myself and therefore I have recently begun Duke of Edinburgh Gold. I am Prefect at my secondary school as Head of Sport.
It is a goal and a dream of mine to attend an American University and play hockey to the highest level possible.

- Was selected in the 16 player squad in the Central North Island for New Zealand to go into a 4 day training camp in preparation for Queensland. Played 2 matches. Match 1: W 3-2. Scored two goals, 1 assist. Match 2: W 4-3. Scored 2 goals, 1 assist.

- Central District Future Elite Camp for up and coming stars. This high intensity residential camp that for caters for the eliteU15- U19 hockey players from across New Zealand. The camp is held in December each year and is designed to expose the future stars of New Zealand to the training methods, techniques and mental toughness required to be a top athlete. The camp is staffed by elite CHL Level coaches and New Zealand Representative Players.
