I currently just finished out my junior year and 3rd year on varsity field hockey. I play for York High School in Maine, and we are just coming off the 2014 State Championship win. This year has truly taught me that above all else, teamwork is what gets teams through tough opposition and earns them the victory, whatever the odds may be. Skill and talent is important, but it means nothing if the athlete in question does not have character, the desire to become better, and is never satisfied with their achievements. Above all, heart and hard work will trump talent any day.
I would like to major in Psychology, and hope to either specialize in clinical or criminal psychology. Down the road, I aspire to earn my PhD and possibly open my own practice someday, or work closely with law enforcement. Academics are extremely important to me, and I would love an academically challenging school.
