The start to my field hockey career is unlike most others. I never knew about field hockey until my freshman year, while many other girls have been learning the sport since middle school or even before. Even though I’ve had a later start, field hockey is a sport I immediately fell in love with. When I first picked up a stick, I knew it was going to be “my sport.” I am a hardworking, coachable, and tenacious player on and off the field. Field hockey is fairly new to my school, so having the ability to learn and grow with my team, especially as a leader while being a captain for the past two years, is something that I’m extremely grateful for. I have been an athlete for a long time, which has allowed me to learn and become the kind of player who puts in the hard work to succeed.
When I’m not playing field hockey, I love to take time to spend with my friends, family, and team, and I enjoy being involved in my church. I strive to be the best I can academically, and have always pushed myself to have great success in school. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.
