Katy Paveglio '23 Recruiting Profile

After starting field hockey in 5^th grade, I knew it would change my life. I have made so many great friends, met many great coaches, and had amazing training opportunities. I would love to play field hockey at a higher level and know I have important skills to offer for a team, such as field intuition, a hard drive, and versatility. As a rising sophomore athlete, I still have time to learn and grow as a player and plan on becoming the best field hockey player I can be. Last year, I felt confident enough in my skills to be able to make a team, knowing that 80 other players were trying out for the three field hockey teams. I was captain of the JV team at Simsbury High School and I intend on continuing to use my leadership skills on and off the field. I led my team in warm-ups, drills, and team spirit as well as being a leader in classrooms for focus and kindness. With my field hockey experience and positive attitude, I would be a great addition to a high-level team.
