I find that I get the greatest satisfaction by putting everything I have into achieving a goal, and this principle has become my WHY both academically and athletically. From an early age, I recognized the commitment it would take to perform at the top of my game on the field hockey field, while pursuing excellence in the classroom. I began playing club sports year round at the age of ten. From that point forward, I devoted all of my effort to field hockey and found myself spending hours in the car traveling to and from practice, tournaments, and the gym, while working on homework and studying. Balancing the demands of these two aspects of my life has helped me to develop critical executive functioning skills that have made me a better athlete and a better student. The critical attributes I have as an athlete include game IQ, patience and leadership. I lean on these very same skills as I work each and every day to maintain a GPA above a 4.0. My passion for self-improvement is demonstrated in my play as a result of the countless hours I spend studying game film and doing the intense training necessary to perform at my best for both myself and my team.
