A close family friend who served in the USA Air Force taught me something that truly changed the way I think about both my athletics and academics. He taught me that, "Anything in life is worth doing is worth overdoing, moderation is for cowards". His words stuck with me especially after he passed away protecting our nation and they truly changed my outlook on life. This motto that I have adopted taught me a lot about what a student- athlete and a leader should be. They also taught me to value my family and work my hardest at everything I do. With that said, as a coach you can count on me to be driven, focused and give one hundred and ten percent at every work out, practice and game. You can count on me to cheer my team on and help them through adversity in any and every way possible. I take suggestions and criticism, incorporate the critiques into my game and grow from them. I love Field Hockey and it is a sport I dream to continue playing through my collegiate years. However, there is more to me than just Field Hockey. I am active in my school and local community. I work hard in school as I take Honors and AP classes, and achieve good grades. I also run Varsity Winter Track and play Softball. Additionally, my school granted me with the HOBY award and I attended the leadership conference this past June. I participate in the PANDA club which helps raise money for endangered and abused animals and I am a peer mentor at my school. Also, I have also been Horseback Riding since I was three. I help the barn I ride at rescue abused horses and I have personally rescued two abused horses of my own. In addition to this, I created a program which is named the SPIRIT/ESY program where I teach autistic kids how to horseback ride. Hence, I teach my twin brothers how to play the drums and I babysit kids in my neighborhood. The motto taught me how to be a well rounded, accepting individual who does what I think is right despite what others think. I will continue to live by these words and will take them with me wherever I go. "Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing, moderation is for cowards"
