Hi, my name is Karina Thompkins and I am currently 16 years old. I attend the Morris County Vocational School of Technology as a junior in the Multimedia academy. I take five advanced classes, English III Honors, Physics Honors, Honors US History II, French III Honors, and Pre-Calculus. My whole life I have been involved in many extracurricular activities. Girl Scouts has been a huge part of my life since the second grade and am now at the senior level. I have earned my bronze award, and am currently working on my gold award. Being a part of girl scouts and living in a very active community meant volunteering was and still is something that I do frequently. I actively volunteer in clean ups, fundraisers, and many different town events. More recently, last summer I was a C.I.T. at a summer camp and I currently volunteer at my local polish school every Saturday. Another big part of my life is field hockey, I started playing in the 5th grade. I started out as forward until freshman year when I switched to being a defender. My freshman year I played on both varsity and was a starter on junior varsity, playing as a forward, midfielder, and defender. My sophomore season I would play the whole varsity game as a starter at the defense position, but would often switch to a midfielder. My junior year season was exactly the same as my sophomore season, except I only played at the center defense position. My high school doesn’t have a field hockey team, and it is a technical school, I play for my hometown, Butler High School. Academically, I would love to go into a major with correlation to the music industry, such as music production or music engineering. After college I would love to be a music producer and am currently interning at Alpha Wave Studios, a recording studio near my town. After reading some information about me, I hope you consider me for your 2025 roster!
