I have been drawn to sports since I was very young. I began playing Soccer and Softball and excelled with speed. By the 2nd grade, I added Basketball and Field Hockey to my athletic resume. I immediately fell in love with Field Hockey, intrigued by the rush of a game with drive, and speed. I knew by Junior High, that I wanted to focus my athletic career, solely on the sport of Field Hockey. It was in the 6th grade that I was introduced to Club Field Hockey, which allowed me to play the sport I was so passionate about, year round. Adding Club Field Hockey afforded me the ability to be exposed to more competitive skills and drive, beyond the common town recreational leagues.
Speed is an asset of mine, that both my Recreational Coaches and Club Coaches utilized by starting me as a Forward. I am able to cover the length of the field quickly, out run other players during opposition and endure the mileage covered during a full game. My athleticism has allowed me to be a starter both for Club and Recreation Teams, as well as enabling me to play above my age. At 12 years old I played Club U14 Field Hockey, as a starting Forward. As a High School Freshman, I was a Varsity starting Forward and earned my Varsity letter, which will allow me to be a 4 year Varsity letter man throughout my High School Career.
I always work diligently and am eager to dedicate to the process of continually challenging myself. With that said, I began training with a private college Field Hockey Coach in order to increase my agility, speed and accuracy with ball handling. I am a firm believer that every athlete, regardless of their level of play, always has room for growth. I believe commitment and dedication the the process brings progression and results.
I've always had an academic drive and I have been an Honor Roll student throughout grammar school and a High Honors student throughout Junior High and currently in High School. I am enrolled in all College Preparatory Advanced classes and intend throughout High School to take Dual Credit Advanced College courses. My current GPA is a 4.0 . I invest equally with the same dedication and drive toward my academics, as I do my athletic commitments.
It is my desire and goal to play Field Hockey at a collegiate level, continuing to athletically challenge myself, while investing my passion in the sport I love.
