I have achieved several accomplishments in field hockey, including becoming a starter on both my travel and school teams and being second team all conference, but I think I grew the most as an athlete and as a person when I tore my ACL in 8th grade. The injury gave me a perspective, that I may not be able to play forever and I should take advantage of the time I do have with my sport. During physical therapy, I became an even harder worker than I already was, all I wanted to do was be able to play, and that drive has not left me since the injury. If anything, tearing my ACL was a good thing, it helped me build character and become even more committed to the sport I love.
It is crazy to think about the first time I started playing in third grade, mainly because of a camp my cousin brought me along to, and I immediately fell in love. The second I got home I was begging my parents to find camps and teams for me to play in, and ever since then I have wanted to go as far as I can in field hockey. Thank you so much for taking the time to view my profile. I plan to work as hard as possible to get to the collegiate level, and I am as determined in athletics as I am in my studies, hoping to leave high school and continue into college with a 3.4 GPA. I love every aspect of field hockey and want to continue with this for as long as I can, and hopefully you can help me do so!
