Elizabeth Lopez '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elizabeth  (Elie) Lopez and I am a starting varsity junior midfielder at Metuchen High School in Metuchen, New Jersey. I also play for the Mid Jersey Knights Field Hockey Club in Piscataway, New Jersey. I excel academically, currently maintaining a 3.8 GPA. I've been playing field hockey since the 2nd grade, and ever since I was in middle school I have known I wanted to play at the collegiate level.

I have been a varsity starter since my freshman year which has given me many opportunities to lead even though I was younger than most of my team. When people ask me what kind of player I am, I always say that I am a team player. I go where I need to go and do what I need to do to give my team the greatest chance for success. My MHS team has adopted the “We over Me” mantra this year and this is something that I have felt for a long time now. My goal as a player is to do the very best I can for my teammates and my coaches on and off the pitch.
