Personal Statement

Hi Coaches,

My name is Cara Merris. I am a member of the class of 2026 at Franklin High School in Franklin Township, NJ. I have been a starting Defensive Back on the Varsity Field Hockey team since my freshman year. In my sophomore year, I was awarded Second Team All-Conference in the Skyland conference.  I am active in both Track and Cross-Fit as well, but Field Hockey is my passion. I am extremely interested in competing in college at the highest level, both academically and athletically. My academic interests are varied at this point. I am a high performing student with a 93% weighted grade point average. I look forward to competing at the Shooting Stars Competition in Midlothian, VA. on 11/28/2024 - 12/1/2024, as part of the Princeton Field Hockey Club. I hope to meet you there!
