Sydney Malave '16 Recruiting Profile

I want to be a impact player. I played center back in high school and won a award as all conference at center back. I can play middy & forward as well. My goal is to improve the college team I play with and assist the team in reaching our set goals. I am very coachable and love to learn new high level skills. I can take direction under any circumstances because I know the mental aspect and preparation is important at the collegiate level.   I look to try to make the USA national team at some point in my field hockey career. I am always striving to get better. I am a relentless, physical and tenacious type player. I understand the game and love it. I review a lot of footage in order to understand the different defenses, offenses and formations. I will put forth the same efforts academically to pursue and complete my degree in either Health Sciences or Sports Management.
