My aspiration is to be an integral member of a collegiate field hockey team. I would be a valuable player on your team because my academic standing at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, New York demonstrates my ability to work hard to achieve an overall average of 4.0 during my freshmen year. My coaches have stated that I am a quick learner and can be taught or shown something only one time. Therefore, I am able to effectively think on my feet and implement the best strategy to prevent the opponent from scoring. The decision to become a goalkeeper was easy for me because I am the kind of person who is always supporting everyone without looking for recognition. As the goalie, my focus is to demonstrate to the team that they can always count on from the first face off to the final seconds on the game clock. I have proven that I am a source of strength that and serve as a vital contributor on the field. I have a natural ability to be focused and aware of everything going on around me as well as quick reflexes and intuition that serves me well as a goalkeeper. My determination, intellectual ability and desire to be the best team player possible, would make me an asset to any college coach and fellow players.
