I am Madeline Mitchell, a 2025 goalkeeper. As a goalie, I do extremely well under pressure. I have quick reflexes, solid decision making skills and communicate well with my teammates. I am a coachable athlete who is focused and learns from my mistakes. I take the skills I learn, as well as constructive feedback, and implement them to better myself and my team. A dream of mine has always been to play field hockey at the college level. Academics are very important to me as well, I am a dedicated student who enjoys learning. In addition to field hockey, I participate in a range of clubs and extracurricular activities both in school and in the community. Field hockey is an important part of my life. I have incorporated the sport into my Girl Scout Gold Award. The Award is the highest achievement within Girl Scouts. My Gold Award is about growing the game of field hockey, making it accessible and more popular to communities on Long Island.
