Hi! My name is Noa Kauffman. I am a goalkeeper for New Albany High School and Frontier Flames field hockey teams in Ohio and will be graduating in 2023. I have been playing for my school district since 2016 and club since 2019.
I believe I will be a good candidate for your team because I am passionate about my position in field hockey. My favorite part as goalkeeper is the challenge. I love watching the other team, strategizing, and directing my defense accordingly. I am highly motivated, dedicated, and offer nothing but my very best in each and every game. I have realized through playing field hockey that skills such as hard work, communication, and perseverance have helped me grow as an athlete and as a student.
I am not afraid of long hours or hard work. I consistently work to improve my game by attending lessons, clinics, camps, and small team scrimmages, in addition to my school and club teams. I also participate in other sports such as Dynamic Self Defense, which has helped me with both flexibility as well as situational awareness.
I am honest and open to new ideas, people, cultures, criticisms, and improvement. I am also in the National Honor Society with a cumulative GPA average of 3.9. I take academics very seriously and plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me academically.
At this time, I plan on majoring in animal sciences. I feel that the skills and traits developed from field hockey will be beneficial not only to my team, but also my studies and in life. I know I have the drive, discipline, and commitment to excel on the field and in the classroom. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you more about your program.
