I am passionate about playing field hockey. I have been playing field hockey since I was 9 years old and have been a goalkeeper since at least 2014 when my first coach suggested I try it. I am confident and fearless in the net. I use my size to my advantage and am constantly striving to improve my skills. I am reliable and a good team mate. The highlights of my field hockey accomplishments include winning the silver medal at Nationals in back to back years and winning the silver medal and bronze medal at OFSAA.
Since I have been playing field hockey I have learned the importance of perseverance when trying to achieve my goals and I value the importance of team work. My teammates are like a second family to me. I have tremendous respect for my team and my club and have already established friendships with some of my teammates that will last me a lifetime.
I plan on pursuing a degree in Psychology in college or university. I also plan on furthering my education to specialize in Sports Psychology. I am very interested in helping out other athletes and I think it would be a good way to stay involved with field hockey once I am unable to play competitively. I am looking for a college or university that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically.
