Hello,
My name is Gabi Maletta and I am a 2025 forward from Springfield PA. I just completed my Junior field hockey season as the starting varsity right forward. I’ve received an honorable mention in the SOL Freedom Division. As well as my team winning our leauge! This last year I have been playing club, which has really improved my skills. I’ve worked to quickly move the ball across into the circle while dodging defenders, and quickly tip off post during a corner or shot. I am hardworking, a team player, and easily apply corrections to my play. I believe it’s not only important to set your self up for success, but your whole team. Recently, I’ve been lifting and doing a lot of running as I am training for Broad Street!
I’m eager to be my best on and off the field, especially in school. I am maintaining a 4.2 GPA currently! I’m aware my grades freshman and sophomore year slipped away from me due to some struggles, but now I am more determined than ever to make up for it.
I am hoping to continue my love for field hockey in college, pursuing physical therapy or exercise science.
