I want to study and play field hockey at a top academic university. Academically, I want to continue to push myself by taking challenging courses in subjects that interest me. I see college as my opportunity to explore how I want to spend my work life. Right now I think I will choose a major that will lead to a career as a doctor, but I know that may change. I cannot wait to have the freedom to take any course that interests me.
Athletically, I want to play for a coach and on a team that pursues team goals. I want to be part of a team where the girls get along and work hard to be the best players and athletes they can be. I am not about individual achievements that come at the expense of the team. After having played high school basketball for two years, I am just beginning my full time commitment to field hockey, so I am really excited about taking my training to an elite level.
Socially, I want to continue build lifelong relationships with quality people. Like the friends I am making in high school, I know that the friends I make in college will last my lifetime. I am excited to meet new people from different backgrounds than me, but who have the same high expectations from themselves as I have for myself.
Academically, athletically and socially, I want my college experience to be four years that I can look back on happily and with no regrets.
