Mikayla Van Aken '18 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Mikayla. I am currently a junior attending Council Rock High School South. The highlight of my high school athletic career was winning the league title with my team during my junior year. That year I learned valuable lessons such as leadership, hard-work, and perseverance.  By playing with such talented team mates I learned about myself as a player while picking up new skills along the way.  The growth I have experienced throughout my high school career affirms to me that I am capable to play at the college level. Fortunately, I have always been a part of a competitive program that has always challenged and supported me. Throughout the many adverse seasons I have experienced I learned how values such as team work and leadership can greatly benefit my team and myself. I am looking for a program that will fit my academically and athletically. I believe I possess the hard-working, positive attitude that could add something beneficial to your program.
