I am a Class of 2025 defender from Lititz, Pa. I play varsity field hockey for the Warwick Warriors in Lititz, Pennsylvania. This year Warwick was ranked in the top 10 schools both in Pennsylvania and nationally throughout the season. Last year we made it to the Semi-Finals of the PIAA AAA State Championship, which includes the largest high schools in the state, and some of the elite field hockey programs in the nation. This year, we got second in our League, first in the district, and our currently in PIAA AA state semifinals. I started every game this season and last season while playing both right and center back.
I also play club field hockey for the Alleycats U19 team, out of Palmyra, PA. Recently, we attended the National Hockey Festival in Naples, Florida, where we won Pool B with only 2 goals against us in all 5 games. I play hockey year-round, participating in indoor and outdoor tournaments and camps to refine my skills. I am very proud of what my teams have accomplished, and the ways in which I have been able to contribute to our success. I particularly enjoy the challenge of playing defense against great competition, and I belive my activities off the field building my leadership skills have been an important part of my development as a teamate and strong defender.
I have worked very hard to balance my athletic goals with my academic and leadership interests. Currently, I am faking AP
Probability and Statistics, AP English, AP Spanish, AP Biology, and AP Government. I am the Vice President of the Class of 2025, the President of National Honor Society, a member of the National Spanish Honor Society and Science National Honor Society, miniThon, PALS, Link Crew, History Club/MUN and I was chosen to be a member of Women in Business, a mentor program for future business leaders in Lancaster County. I was also selected to be one of two students from Warwick High School who attended the statewide Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Conference at Susquehanna University. I strive to be a valuable contributor to my team, school, and community both on and off the field.
I want to continue to be challenged both athletically and academically. Being part of a team that sets big goals and puts the work in to accomplish them has made my experince with field hockey very rewarding. In my future I want to take the lessons I have learned from the field and apply them to my professional gaols. I am interested in Business, Neuroscience, and Psychology.
