Hi Coaches!
I think I may be am a good candidate for your team because of my intelligence, hustle, and mental and physical toughness. I am a smart player. I know where I need to be on the field to give my teammates the best passing option, or to take away the opponent's best option. My competitive drive pushes me to run faster and work harder in games and in practices to help my team win. I am also tough. I am the flyer for my high school team, and many times I've taken shots to the feet, knees, thighs, and hands only to get back up and fly another time. Our team had a knack for getting multiple corners back-to-back, and every time I would sprint those sixteen yards as hard as I could, no matter how many times I did it before.
My athletic skill isn't the only quality I would bring to a team. I am a team player. I know where my weaknesses are, and I know where my teammates are strong. I have no trouble passing up my shot if it means my teammates have a better one. I also have strong academics. I work just as hard in the classroom as the field, which makes me a good fit for an academically rigorous college and a competitive team.
Thank you,
Leah Yost
