2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Moving from The Netherlands to the United States in August 2015 has influenced me not only as a player but also as an individual. Starting over in a new environment with a different language and culture helped me become more confident about my own ability to overcome new situations.
I started playing FH in the Netherlands when I was 8 years old. At first I joined the club there because of social reasons, but as I gained more experience I became more competitive. Being part of the Varsity team of my US High School made me realize that combining school and sports is appealing to me and that is why I decided to pursue an athletic career in college.
My qualities on the field are that I have a good overview of the positions on the field and the game. I do not give up easily and I try to improve my game whenever I can. I share my experience with my Varsity teammates by helping them improve their basic skills through drills and communication on the field.
I am looking for a College program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically.

Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. I am enrolled in the full IB Diploma program. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (DP) is a rigorous pre-university course of studies, leading to examinations, that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19 years. Designed as a comprehensive, two-year curriculum that allows its graduates to fulfill requirements of various national education systems, the diploma model is based on the pattern of no single country but incorporates the best elements of several. My courses for my junior year include: IB English, IB Spanish, IB German, IB Math, IB Physics, IB Economics and the IB Specific course: Theory of Knowledge (Philosophical)Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center?
