Maddison Cunfer '20 Recruiting Profile

Throughout all the years I’ve played field  hockey, some of my favorite memories have come from the bonds that I have formed with my teammates. Field hockey creates the opportunity to learn, overcome obstacles , and ultimately grow with the people you play with, and that is one thing I will always love about it. Playing with a club team in addition to my high school team has allowed me to become friends with other college-bound players and learn how to adjust to playing with people of different skill levels.

This year, my high school team consists of mostly young players and a new head coach, so I have to fill a large leadership position.  The experience I have gained from stepping-up as a leader on and off the field has made me into a player who is well fit for the college level. I am looking for a program that will accommodate for how ambitious I am both athletically and academically. I am a determined student and athlete, and I hope to bring that determination with me onto the field of my new college home in the fall of 2020!
