After high school, my dream has always been to go into the medical field, and I think playing a sport over the course of my college career would be helpful. Being able to work as a team, I feel, is the most important of any sport. I pride myself on being able to communicate and work well with my teammates. I have been involved with sports since I was of eligible age, and have played on the varsity team for my school since my freshman year in three sports: field hockey, basketball, and softball.
While doing this, I have still managed to keep my grades up, and maintain a spot in the highest honors at my school every semester. The summer before my sophomore year, I also started taking classes at a local university to get a head start for college. Finally, even though I am extremely involved within my school, being part of multiple clubs, I also find time to stay active in my community, volunteering at two local churches, being a member of my church's Youth Group, and volunteer at a science camp for girls at a local university.
I believe that this long list of activities proves that I can handle anything. I also think being able to this is something a college student athlete should be able to do. I do believe that possess the assets necessary to handle the task of playing sports during my time at college, and look forward to what my future will hold, and the opportunities that come with it.
