Field hockey has been my passion since the 3rd grade. I began my field hockey journey playing for my local youth league which was coached by the high school team. The girls who coached me became my idols, and field hockey became my life. It has been my dream to play sports in college since I picked up a stick and laced up my cleats for the first time. I am a hard worker and a committed athlete. During my time at Bellows Falls, I made it to the Division 1 state finals twice and won once. In my freshman year, I was selected for the varsity squad but seldom touched the field. This taught to be a valuable lesson; nothing is handed to you, and you have to work for what you want. I took it upon myself during the off-season to dedicate my time to field hockey and bettering my play to earn a starting position. My work paid off my junior year when I was recognized and selected for the all-region first team. However, even during my time on the bench, the team comes first. I have a naturally positive attitude and am always encouraging toward my teammates. I believe every player has a valuable role whether it be defending the goal, scoring, or being the loudest one cheering from the bench. I strive to be the best in the classroom as well when I play my sport. I take the highest level of classes possible and push myself to maintain a high GPA and grades. I am known to give my all into everything I do whether it be a math equation, an essay, or a mile run. I always try my best and try to maintain upbeat while doing it. I love field hockey and would value an opportunity to take my career to the colliegete level.
