My name is Alex and I am a class of 2025 student at Champlain Valley Union High School in Vermont. I have played field hockey for 6 years now, and have found a safe haven in the positive contributions that being on a team rewards me with. In the 2023 season, I was named first team all-league metro division and second team all-state. I was also select to play in the Vermont rising star games. I am looking for a school with rigorous academics, but most importantly a sense of community. Social connections are especially important for me in both an academic and athletic setting. I am hard working and self-disciplined, and am constantly working to improve my skills as an athlete on and off the field. As an outside midfielder, I am a distributor on the field. I am continuously looking for through passes to move the ball up the field and maintain possession, but don't hesitate to carry the ball and trust my elimination skills when necessary. As a player and teammate, I value those who have strong work-ethics. I am extremely coachable, and I want to work with those who are willing to make mistakes and learn from them. I find home in teammates that can make a sport that we all love feel competitive and demanding, while also having a good time. For me, field hockey is a passion, and it wouldn't be the same if I didn't have fun while playing.
