My name is Carolyn Braziel. I am a sophomore in high school and I consider myself a fun loving, hardworking, very approachable student-athlete. I play field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and I also swam competitively. Student wise, I have been on honor roll every semester, performed in the orchestra, and play the viola. I'm a student ambassador and a member of a few other clubs. I use competition as a motivator, not just in sports, but in my everyday life. The challenges, preparation, practice, and studying prepares me for the games, performances, or completing a class project. I would like to play for a very competitive program that challenges its players daily. I plan to study biology with aspirations of attending medical school once my field hockey career is complete. Competition has given me so much already. As an only child competition has put so many wonderful people in my life such as my coaches, teammates, classmates, teachers, and spectators that have and continue to support me every day. What makes me different is that I have the ability to make others better and my opponents and teammates feel respected in defeat as well as in victory.
