I was introduced to the game of football in the fourth grade by my uncle Nate which was playing high school football at the time. Nate and my Grandfather noticed the hand eye coordination while playing football around the yard. I was enrolled in peewee football that year and have played every year since then. I have always been a large boy for my age and figured out and embraced the fact that I was destined to be in the trenches. Along with the hand eye coordination, balance and leverage have been one of my best attributes.
I have always been neat and studious with the mind set that one of my biggest goals was to use my ability to play college football when I graduate high school. Playing at a small school I have had to learn several positions and embrace the fact that not only am I learning from the position changes but am also helping the team.
I have had numerous obstacles to overcome so far in my short life, at the age of four I was taken away from my mother and placed with my non-biological grandparents which have raised me for the last twelve years. Last year in the second quarter of the pre-season game I was rolled up on and tore my MCL and MPFL from the bone. After surgery I knew that I would only have one season of high school football remaining, so I focused on rehab. At just three months I was released to participate in track. At six months I received a full release with the surgeon telling me that he has very rarely seen an athlete bounce back from surgery as quickly as I did.
A am blessed to be surrounded by a supportive family and look forward to playing college football and earning a college degree.
