For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for playing football. I started playing organized football in the seventh grade and I have loved it ever since. In my opinion, organized football is 75% mental and 25% physical because there are so many elements of the game that you must understand before you can be an effective player. You must possess the mentality to continuously push yourself to be better than your last practice and better than your last game. Playing football has shown me about having dedication, integrity, and respect and I am proud to call myself a football player.
For me, having dedication, integrity, and respect does not begin and end on the football field. I also continuously push myself academically as well. I understand the importance of excelling academically. I have a genuine affinity for science and have decided that I want to pursue a professional career that will allow me to enjoy two of my favorite subjects: biology and football. I am interested in becoming a Sports Medicine Physician and am currently completing the elective Health Science curriculum at my high school. Next year, I aspire to maintain a 4.0 GPA for the entire school year.
Dedication, integrity, and respect are life qualities that I feel every student-athlete should practice on a daily basis and I definitely try my best to be an example to those around me. I am a strong-willed individual and there is no doubt in my mind that I can do everything I set my mind to do.
