My name is Justin Davis and I am a 6'0 " 193 lb two-way athlete. I've been involved in sports since the age of 3. As a freshman I won the starting JV QB position as well as DB after having a competitive battle, and with those positions I led my team to an undefeated season with a record of 10-0. That experience pushed me to set high goals for the next season and be the best that I can be in any experiences that I have. My sophomore year I started at defensive back and lead the team in most deflections and fewest completions with a total. This year as a junior I led the team in most rushing yards, tackles and most touchdowns. Those accomplishments led to me getting the most valuable player. I don’t just focus on sports, I pride myself in being a student athlete, I do not take my academics lightly. I know that dedication and determination are key factors required to successfully achieve my goals, so I apply both of those attributes on and off the field. Its not only important to play for a division 1 school, I want to be at a school that supports my major which is Sports Medicine with the option to gain a degree as an Athletic Trainer or a Physical Therapist.
I know that I would be a great asset to anyone’s team and academic program due to the great work ethic that I have. I feel like there is no such thing as too much work and if you feel like there is then you aren’t dedicated to becoming great at what you do. I give it my all in whatever goal I’m working towards, whether that consists of being a better student, being a better athlete, being a better son or simply being a better me. A quote that resonated and stuck with me was, “hard work is leased, and rent is due everyday”. I’ve made that my motto and I make it my job to put in at least 4 hours of work every day outside of my school organizations. One thing that my parents have instilled in me from a very young age is that nothing is ever given to you, anything you want you must work for and if it’s given to you, you won’t appreciate it as much as something you’ve put effort towards. I’m just hoping that you will believe in me and my abilities to be a great fit for your team and your academic program and just know that I will never give up on my team or my destiny and I will always work hard to ensure my team succeeds. Thank you for your time.
