Ty Laird '18 Recruiting Profile

College has never been an option in my household, it has always been an expectation.  I know that I want to major in engineering, but have not decided on the exact field as of yet.  I expect to complete my bachelor's degree and have a goal of beginning work toward a master's degree.

I feel that the qualities that make me the best candidate for your program are the variables that I possess.  I have been told that I posses an impressive work ethic, great moral character, self motivation, and the drive that it takes to accomplish my goals. 

My goal since I started sports was to make it to the collegiate level, not only to make it but to compete. I have been working off the field to be the best athlete I could be on the field since seventh grade. When I make it to the collegiate level I would like to attend a program that will allow me the opportunity to further improve my ability to compete on the field.

I am the type of player that loves the grind of competition both on the field and off the field.  I love to compete in the weight room, the practice facility, and the classroom.
